Key interests include the role of myokines like interleukin-15, gut microbiome modulation during cancer treatment, and personalized medicine approaches to exercise prescription.
Research activities span immunology, oncology, and clinical exercise science, with a strong emphasis on improving survivorship outcomes. Collaboration networks include the Faculty of Health at UTS and international researchers in oncology and rehabilitation.
Publications highlight HIIT’s efficacy in reducing systemic inflammation and improving fitness in cancer survivors, as well as the reliability of body composition measurement techniques and pQCT technology for musculoskeletal analysis. Recent work explores the gut microbiome’s role in cancer care and cognitive impairment’s impact on psychopathology in survivors.
No formal advisees or grants are explicitly listed, but collaborative projects with industry and clinical partners are implied through publication co-authorships.
