Morgan Altman

Morgan Altman is a Supervised Fieldwork Advisor and Course Instructor at Bank Street College of Education. Her career spans outdoor education, classroom teaching, and teacher preparation. She holds a M.S. in Childhood Education with a specialization in Environmental Science from Bank Street College.

Her professional journey began with outdoor education, where she cultivated an appreciation for children's curiosity and learning processes. As a 5th grade math teacher in Brooklyn, NY, she developed a deeper understanding of mathematics education and student-centered learning. She credits Bank Street’s Leadership in Mathematics program as pivotal to her professional growth.

Morgan emphasizes teaching as an intellectual endeavor, prioritizing continuous learning and professional development. She currently supports pre-service teachers through fieldwork supervision and coursework.
