Morgan Alm serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Horne School of Music at Snow College, teaching Aural Skills, Keyboard Harmony, Introduction to Music, Private Piano, and Chamber Groups. She operates an international music studio with her husband Kyle in Ephraim, Utah, offering virtual and in-person instruction in piano performance, composition, and songwriting across diverse styles.
Her educational background includes:
- Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Utah (2020), where she studied under Dr. Joshua Wright and taught through the Utah Piano Outreach Program
- Bachelor of Music, summa cum laude, from Snow College (2018), studying under Dr. Michael Huff, Dr. Trent Hanna, Dr. Joshua Wright, and Professor Heather Bosshardt
Alm specializes in piano performance pedagogy with integrated expertise in composition and collaborative musicianship. Her curriculum emphasizes practical application through ensemble work, aural training, and keyboard harmony, reflecting her dual focus on technical mastery and creative expression developed through extensive performance experience.
Her notable recognitions include winning Snow College's Concerto Competition in 2016 (performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1) and receiving the Alma and Ora Fairbourne music scholarship alongside multiple academic awards during undergraduate studies.
As an educator, Alm maintains a high-demand international studio while teaching college courses, demonstrating exceptional commitment to music education. She began teaching privately at age 16 and has instructed through Snow College's Horne Youth Conservatory and the University of Utah's outreach program for elementary students.
Alm and her husband operate a comprehensive music studio serving global students in virtual and in-person settings, specializing in diverse piano styles, original composition, and songwriting development across all proficiency levels.
