Monireh Mohammadpanah is a Graduate Research Assistant at Clemson University's Department of Genetics and Biochemistry within the College of Science. She works in the Self Regional Hall (Greenwood Genetic Center) labs and can be contacted at monirem@clemson.edu or via phone at 864-889-0519.
Research Interests: Her work spans multiple areas of genetics and biochemistry, including
- Ribonuclease MRP protein components
- Non-coding RNA pathways
- Epigenetic regulation in cardiovascular disease
- Nanocarrier-based cancer therapies
- Computational analysis of genetic variants
Recent Publications focus on RNA biology, cancer treatment optimization, and epigenetic mechanisms. Articles from 2025 explore ribonuclease MRP functions and RNA processing pathways, while 2020 studies investigate nanocarrier delivery systems for essential oils in breast cancer therapy. Earlier work (2014) involves bioinformatics analysis of IL-6 gene polymorphisms.
Laboratory Locations: She maintains lab spaces at four locations within Self Regional Hall: 132, 134, 134B, and 136.
