Education: PhD (Monash University, 2015), MPH (Mahidol University, 2007), MBBS (University of Rajshahi, 2001).
Research Interests: Chronic disease epidemiology, osteoarthritis pathogenesis, cardiovascular-musculoskeletal interactions, and low back pain. Her work has shifted paradigms in understanding osteoarthritis, linking obesity to inflammation-driven mechanisms and identifying in-utero risk factors (e.g., low birth weight). Recent studies explore HDL cholesterol's role in dementia and fracture risk in older adults.
Publications: Over 86 outputs, including high-impact articles like the 2019 BMJ paper on breakfast skipping's global discussion. Research themes span lipid metabolism, geriatric health, and clinical trials (e.g., ASPREE study).
Awards: Multiple fellowships and grants, including NHMRC Early Career Fellowship and Arthritis Australia support. Recognized for contributions to public health research.
Grants/Advising: Principal Investigator on projects like the "Topical Corticosteroid for Hand Osteoarthritis" trial. Supervises PhD students and reviews manuscripts for journals like The Lancet Rheumatology.
