Monique Shephard is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Charles Sturt University's Libraries Research Group, working across social work and library professions. With a PhD in Library and Information Science (2022) and a background in arts/humanities, she employs qualitative methods and constructivist theory to examine:

- Social justice in libraries
- Ecosocial practice in human services
- Co-design approaches in disaster resilience
Her recent work focuses on intersections between mental health themes in Australian literature and educational resources (2025), international social work practices in libraries (2024), and ecosocial approaches in Finland-Australia comparative studies (2025).
