Monique Jüttner serves as Professor for Design, Building Construction and Materials at Bremen University of Applied Sciences' Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Environment. Her work bridges theoretical research with practical implementation in sustainable architectural practices.
Her research focuses on:
- Development of recycling-compatible building materials
- Mobile DesignBuild laboratory systems for field applications
- Emissions reduction in construction processes
- Sustainable integration of traditional building techniques
Current projects include the 2023-2025 DesignBuild laboratory development for recycling-friendly construction (where students design/build mobile work shelters), the Building Materials ATLAS initiative, and the 2025-2026 lecture series "How Does Sustainability Fit Into Architecture?". She actively contributes to infrastructure projects like the Weser Bridge load tests and sustainable mobility solutions including emissions-free cargo bikes for field operations.
Professor Jüttner's work demonstrates applied research translating sustainability theory into tangible construction solutions through student-led prototyping and industry collaboration.
