Monika Wilkiewicz

Professor Monika Wilkiewicz is a distinguished faculty member at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, serving as Professor in the Faculty of Conducting, Jazz, and Music Education. Since 2005, she has been an active member of the university Senate and led the Department of Choral Studies and Music Education from 2016 to 2024. Her institutional roles include Vice-Dean (2005-2012) and extensive service on habilitation committees and doctoral dissertation reviews.

Her research focuses on choral conducting pedagogy, repertoire development, and music education methodology. Key interests include historical analysis of choral ensembles, youth choir training frameworks, and vocal-instrumental music interpretation. Professor Wilkiewicz actively bridges academic theory with practical conducting through her leadership of multiple award-winning ensembles.

Her scholarly publications demonstrate evolving expertise in choral studies, with recent works examining youth choir engagement methods and repertoire application in conducting education. The publications consistently emphasize practical pedagogical frameworks while documenting Polish choral traditions.
