Magdalena Filipska

Dr. Magdalena Filipska serves as Assistant Professor at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where she concurrently holds the position of Artistic Director for the SIGMA Women's Vocal Ensemble within the Faculty of Conducting, Jazz, and Music Education. She maintains active artistic leadership through the Chamber Choir of the Academy and the Campanella Mandolin Orchestra.

Education:

• Graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Choral Conducting and Music Education at Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz under Professor Janusz Stanecki
• Completed Postgraduate Choir Conducting Studies

Research and Professional Interests: Dr. Filipska specializes in choral conducting techniques, vocal ensemble development, and Polish choral traditions. Her methodology integrates international training from master conductors across Hungary, USA, Russia, and Belgium, emphasizing polyphonic precision and cross-cultural collaboration in choral performance.

• Second prize at the Faculty Choral Conducting Competition at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz

Advising and Grants: Dr. Filipska has secured continuous funding through governmental scholarships for professional development while mentoring emerging conductors through ensemble leadership roles and academic instruction at the Academy.

Labs and Teams: As president and second conductor of the Campanella Mandolin Orchestra since 2006, and artistic director of SIGMA Women's Vocal Ensemble since 2012, she has cultivated internationally recognized ensembles that have achieved significant competition success across Poland and Europe, including the 6th International Choral Conducting Tournament "Towards Polyphony" in Wrocław.
