Piotr Jańczak

Dr. hab. Piotr Jańczak serves as a University Professor and researcher at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, specializing in choral conducting and composition. With choirs under his direction winning over 70 international and national awards, he has established himself as a leading figure in global choral arts.

His academic foundation includes graduation from the Faculty of Choral Conducting and Music Education at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz under Professor Janusz Stanecki, complemented by a Postgraduate Choirmaster Program at the same institution. He earned his doctorate in musical arts (artistic conducting discipline) in 2009 and completed his postdoctoral degree (habilitacja) in 2016.

Jańczak's artistic research focuses on advanced choral conducting techniques, composition for vocal ensembles, and innovative music education methodologies. His works like "Missa Film Stetinum" for symphony orchestra, male choir, and soloists have become required pieces at major international competitions in Venice, Rome, Bonn, and Helsingborg, demonstrating significant influence across European choral traditions.
