Monika Nalepa is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago, specializing in Transitional Justice, Post-Communist Politics, and Formal Political Theory. She holds a PhD from Columbia University (2005) and has taught at Rice University and the University of Notre Dame. Her work examines democratic stability, authoritarian backsliding, and institutional reforms in post-authoritarian contexts.
