Monika Martin

Monika Martin is a researcher at the School of Education (Freiburg University of Education) in the Department of Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning Research. With a doctoral degree in psychology from the University of Freiburg (2024), she focuses on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Climate Literacy, and Teacher Training. Her work explores how instructional design elements like self-explanation prompts, segmentation, and signaling cues enhance preservice teachers' professional vision through video analysis. She has developed competence models and assessments for climate literacy and collaborated on projects like ProBiKlima and TEVI.
