Monika Holzschuh is an Assistant Professor of German at Queen's University, Faculty of Arts and Science, teaching beginner to advanced German language courses and specialized Business German curricula.
Education includes:
- Ph.D. in German Language and Literature, Queen’s University (2000)
- M.A. in German Language and Literature, Carlton University (1991)
- B.A. in German and French, University of Guelph (1989)
Her research explores language pedagogy innovations, including:
- Videoconferencing applications for language instruction
- Clicker technology in classroom engagement
- Large-class teaching methodologies
She developed original teaching materials for Business German courses and restructured introductory language curricula using the Kontakte textbook series.
