Samba Sy is a Senior Lecturer of French in the School of Modern Languages at Georgia Institute of Technology. He joined Georgia Tech in Fall 2013 as a part-time lecturer and transitioned to full-time in Fall 2015. He holds an M.A. in Political Science from East Stroudsburg University and an M.A. in French Literature from Georgia State University, where he also earned a Graduate Certificate in Translation. He is an accredited examiner for the DELF-DALF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) exam.
- Affiliations: Coordinator of the Introductory Language Program and Director of the LBAT (Language for Business and Technology) Senegal program.
- Teaching: Specializes in Beginners and Intermediate French courses, and pioneered Wolof language instruction at Georgia Tech.
Research & Interests: Focuses on innovative language pedagogy, translation practices, and the integration of African languages (e.g., Wolof) into academic curricula. His work also intersects with political science and applied language education for technology and business contexts.
