Monika Farsang is a PreDoc Researcher at the Institute of Computer Engineering, Vienna University of Technology, focusing on sustainable and bio-inspired machine learning solutions. She is actively involved in advancing neural network architectures for autonomous systems and computational efficiency.

Her recent work emphasizes the development of biologically-inspired recurrent neural networks (NCPs, LTCs) to reduce computational demands while maintaining interpretability, aligning with global efforts in sustainable AI. She has supervised two 2025 diploma theses on modeling partially observable environments and multimodal autonomous agents.
Advising: Monika has guided students Stanusoiu, M.-T. and Clement, M.-L. in their research on biologically-inspired models and autonomous systems.
