Monika Bancsina is a Research Associate at the Max Weber Institute for Sociology, Heidelberg University, where she works within the Heidelberg Research Group for Organization Studies (heiGOS) under Prof. Dr. Markus Pohlmann. Her role spans research and teaching in corporate compliance, organizational misconduct, and speak-up culture development.

Bancsina's research centers on improving speak-up cultures in organizations through innovative methods like her online multiplayer compliance training video game. She investigates corporate misconduct reporting mechanisms, organizational crime, and corruption, with recent focus on leveraging generative AI for anti-corruption frameworks and assessing ESG impacts.
