Prof. Dr. Markus Pohlmann is a Professor at the University of Heidelberg's Max Weber Institute for Sociology, specializing in organizational sociology, corruption studies, and medical organizations. His work focuses on organizational deviance, corporate compliance, and the globalization of capitalism. He has held academic positions since 1993, including visiting roles in Korea, Taiwan, and the U.S. His research explores economic elite behavior, anti-corruption strategies, and the intersection of organizational culture with legal frameworks.
Education:
- 1981-1983: Studied Sociology, Economics, and History at Universities of Freiburg and Bielefeld
