Moniek Hover

Moniek Hover is a Professor of Storytelling at Breda University of Applied Sciences' Academy for Leisure & Events. She holds a PhD (2013) from the same institution for her work on 'The Efteling as a Narrator of Fairy Tales'. Her research focuses on narrative design for leisure, tourism, and cultural heritage sectors. She co-leads the BUas-wide research theme 'Designing, Managing and Measuring Experiences' and the Academy's 'Storytelling and Consumer Experiences' program.

Her interdisciplinary projects include narrative concepts for Van Gogh locations, WWII heritage sites in Brabant, and Santa's Office in Finland. Recent collaborations involve interactive storytelling technologies and transnational heritage projects like JEWELS TOUR and Grensloos Park De Groote Heide. Awards include 'Most inspiring employee' (2013) and 'Most newsworthy employee' (2013).
