Monica Plantan

Monica Plantan is an Instructor of Educational Psychology at Ball State University's Teachers College since 2017. With over 35 years of experience in education, she specializes in curriculum development for high ability learners and serves as President of the Indiana Association for the Gifted.

• Bachelor of Science in Education - Illinois State University

Her research focuses on Gifted and Talented Education, designing curricula for advanced potential students, and language arts pedagogy. Her recent publications reflect innovations in high ability education frameworks.

• 2012 Indiana Outstanding Teacher of the Gifted

Previously, she served as Gifted and Talented Education License Instructor (2015-2017) and spent 19 years as a high ability classroom teacher in Zionsville Community Schools.
