Her academic foundation includes:

- MA in Critical Theory, University of Sussex
- PhD in Social and Political Sciences, European University Institute (1996)
Greco's transdisciplinary research bridges social and political science, history, and philosophy through psychosomatic medicine knowledge practices. Core interests encompass medical classification systems, medically unexplained symptoms, health/illness concepts in relation to subjectivity and self-governance, medical humanities as an epistemic project, vitalism, and bio-psycho-social transformation dynamics. Her work critically examines therapeutic contexts and knowledge production.
Recent publications (2023-2025) demonstrate cohesive focus on symptom clinic interventions for persistent physical symptoms, integrating qualitative, clinical trial, and philosophical methodologies. Key trends include biographical repair mechanisms, affective technologies in liminal therapeutic spaces, and pragmatist reconceptualizations of medically unexplained symptoms across diverse clinical populations.
Scientific recognition includes:
- Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation with Feodor Lynen Programme involvement
Greco supervises research degree students and leads externally funded projects including the Basic Income Earth Network donation project (2024). Her collaborative network spans UK clinical teams, international humanities scholars, and policy researchers, with work featured in The Lancet and Social Science & Medicine. Research contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals for health and well-being through critical analysis of medical knowledge practices.
