Monica Bell is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Coastal Carolina University, where she contributes to both academic and professional theatre training. Her career spans over two decades of extensive professional theatre experience, including appearances in more than seventy productions and directing roles in both academic and professional settings.
- BFA in Theatre and Cinema from Denison University
- MFA from the University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee – Professional Theatre Training Program
Monica Bell specializes in the rigorous training methodologies of Tadashi Suzuki. She has worked internationally with the Suzuki Company, participating in productions such as Clytemnestra and The Bacchae, and has served as an artistic associate with prominent institutions like the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and Utah Shakespeare Festival. Her expertise extends to regional theatre collaborations across the United States, covering stages including the Huntington Theatre, Great Lakes Theatre Festival, and Syracuse Stage. In addition to her stage work, she has credits in film and television, notably appearing in the feature film Everything Relative (Sundance Film Festival) and episodic television such as Law & Order (ABC).
