Mona Bozdog is a Lecturer in Immersive Experience Design at Abertay University, where she previously co-led the BA (Hons) Game Design and Production Programme. Her academic background includes a PhD in Games and Performance (Abertay University, 2019) and an MLitt in Playwriting and Dramaturgy (University of Glasgow, 2013). She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).

Her research focuses on hybrid experiences at the intersection of video games and performance, including immersive storytelling, mixed-reality, and games for public spaces/heritage sites. Recent projects explore capturing lived experiences through games. Collaborations include the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the National Theatre of Scotland under the ARCS initiative.
Publications emphasize feminist pedagogy in gaming education, ethics in game design, and socially engaged gameplay. Her work appears in journals like MAI: Feminism and Visual Culture and Games and Culture.
Awards include the IGDA Foundation Women in Games Ambassador Studentship (2017). She has led modules such as DES101 (Developing Game Concepts) and supervises honors projects. Research contributions align with UN SDGs related to education and sustainable communities.
