Molly Quinn is the St. Bernard Chapter of the LSU Alumni Association Endowed Professor in Curriculum Theory at Louisiana State University (LSU), where she serves as Director of the Curriculum Theory Project and Advisor for Urban and Community Education within the CHSE School of Education. She holds a BA in Education (1987) and PhD in Curriculum Theory (1997) from LSU, with prior academic appointments at Augusta University, Teachers College (Columbia University), and Adelphi University.
Her research integrates interdisciplinary humanities, focusing on:
- Curriculum theory and history
- Critical pedagogy and social justice in urban contexts
- Peace education and nonviolence
- Ethics, spirituality, and aesthetic dimensions of teaching
Her publications emphasize philosophical explorations of education, peace, and transformative learning, with recurring themes of complexity, justice, and generativity in curriculum studies.
