Molly Pourhussin is an Adjunct Lecturer of American Sign Language at Wichita State University (WSU) since 2016, affiliated with the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures. She also serves as a sign language interpreter, supporting the Wichita Deaf community since 1992.
Ms. Pourhussin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Adaptive Special Education. She is additionally endorsed in Early Childhood Education and Deaf Education. Her teaching career spans over 18 years, starting in 2005.
Her expertise focuses on language education for diverse populations, particularly Deaf learners and early childhood development. She integrates practical interpreting experience with academic teaching to enhance student learning.
