Moisés Mayordomo serves as Professor and Dean of Studies (Studiendekan) at the Faculty of Theology, University of Basel, Switzerland. In addition to his professorial duties, he holds the position of Member of the Regency (Mitglied der Regenz) within the faculty structure.
Professor Mayordomo's research focuses on theological and biblical studies with particular emphasis on Christology, New Testament exegesis, and interreligious dialogue. His work explores the intersection of Jewish monotheism with early Christian theology, biblical interpretation of key Christian rituals, and representation theory in theological contexts. His publications demonstrate a strong engagement with both historical theological concepts and contemporary religious discourse.
Analysis of his recent publications reveals a consistent scholarly trajectory examining Christological developments in early Christianity, with particular attention to exegetical approaches to New Testament texts. His research shows increasing engagement with interreligious perspectives, especially regarding Jewish-Christian theological dialogue. Professor Mayordomo has participated in significant research projects including 'Interreg - Geteilte Überzeugungen' and 'INTER-RELIGIO.
