Moira Alvarez serves as a Lecturer in Spanish and Foreign Languages at the University of Pennsylvania, affiliated with the School of Arts and Sciences and the Joseph H. Lauder Institute. She holds a BA in Linguistics and Literature from the University of Buenos Aires, an MA in Hispanic Studies (2009) from Temple University, and a PhD in Hispanic Studies (2015), also from Temple. Her research focuses on Cultural Studies approaches to contemporary Latin American literature and film, emphasizing critical cultural topics from Spanish-speaking countries.
