Mohit Arora is a Senior Research Fellow at the John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation Research, part of the Kolling Institute and the School of Health Sciences at The University of Sydney. His research focuses on spinal cord injury (SCI), clinical trials, health economics, and rehabilitation methodologies. He holds a B.Physio from India, a Professional Diploma in Clinical Research, and a Ph.D. in Medicine from Sydney University. Dr. Arora has over 15 years of research experience, including coordinating large multinational clinical trials and investigator-driven projects.
His research interests include clinical trial design, systematic reviews, cost-effectiveness analysis, and improving healthcare access for individuals with SCI. Notable projects include the Aus-InSCI community survey and translational research on rehabilitation outcomes. He has supervised multiple PhD and MPhil students and serves on editorial boards for journals like Spinal Cord and Journal of Physiotherapy.
Arora’s 15+ peer-reviewed articles focus on SCI rehabilitation, cognitive function in SCI patients, and healthcare disparities. His awards include multiple Outstanding Postdoctoral Research Awards from the International Spinal Cord Society. He collaborates internationally with institutions in Bangladesh, India, and Switzerland, contributing to global initiatives like elearnSCI.org.
Current projects include optimizing rehabilitation length of stay post-SCI and developing neuro-cardiac self-regulation therapies. His work bridges clinical practice and policy, emphasizing evidence-based care and patient-centered outcomes.
