Mohammad Taghi Tourchi Moghadam serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Functional Materials Engineering at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, Gdańsk University of Technology. His research laboratory (NE 313 in Building B) focuses on advanced materials for electrochemical applications.
His research interests center on developing novel electrode materials for energy storage and conversion systems.
- Specializes in binary transition metal oxides for supercapacitor applications
- Investigates nano-electrocatalysts for alcohol fuel cells
- Develops hybrid materials for glycerol and sorbitol electrooxidation
- Optimizes conducting polymers for neural electrode interfaces
Dr. Tourchi Moghadam's publication record shows strong focus on electrochemical energy systems, with multiple 2025 publications examining nickel cobaltite electrodes, molybdenum disulfide composites, and PEDOT-based neural interfaces. His research demonstrates particular expertise in tailoring material properties for specific electrochemical environments.
He participates in the SONATA-funded project "Development of multi-functional neural electrode with the use of conducting polymer" (agreement UMO-2021/43/D/ST7/01362), working alongside project manager Karolina Cysewska since 2022. His laboratory work involves materials synthesis, electrochemical characterization, and device testing for both energy storage and neural interface applications.
