Mohammad Riaz Uddin serves as an Associate Teaching Professor of Finance at the University of Colorado Denver Business School, where he teaches investments and corporate finance. His academic journey includes prior teaching appointments at Marshall University, the American University of Beirut, the University of Dhaka, North South University, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
His research spans Corporate Finance, Investments, Political Economy, and Behavioral Biases, with publications appearing in leading journals including Financial Management, the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, and the Journal of Behavioral Finance. His work examines critical areas such as insider trading, corporate intangibles, and security analysts.

Dr. Uddin holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington, an MS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His teaching excellence has been recognized through multiple institutional awards including the Teaching Excellence Academy Fellowship at Bloomsburg University.
