Miya Moore-Felton

Miya Moore-Felton is an Assistant Professor in Counseling Psychology at the School of Professional Psychology and Health, California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). A retired Air Force veteran, she is also a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor in California. She holds dual roles as President and Clinical Director of Healing Spot Counseling Center, a non-profit community mental health agency.

• Adjunct Instructor Experience: Counseling/Psychology programs in US & Ukraine
• Leadership Roles: Past President of East Bay Chapter of CAMFT; Committee Member, AMHCA's Counseling Compact Multicultural & Social Justice

Her research focuses on military mental health, trauma interventions, and multicultural advocacy. She specializes in integrating psychopharmacology knowledge into therapeutic practice and has developed educational frameworks for counseling supervision. Miya has pioneered community-based mental health initiatives through Healing Spot Counseling Center, serving underserved military populations.

Professional service includes Board of Behavioral Sciences liaison roles for military families and board membership at Heart in Balance Counseling Center, a training site for counseling interns.
