Mitko Zlatanov serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Drawing and Modeling within the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG) in Sofia, Bulgaria. He maintains office hours on Mondays from 9:00 to 11:00 in cabinets A 1108 and A 1106.
Education
- 2016: Earned a Doctoral degree in "Art History and Fine Arts" from the Department of Sculpture at the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia
- 2007: Completed specialty in "Pedagogy of Fine Arts" at the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia
- 2006: Obtained Master's degree in "Sculpture" from the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia under Prof. Krum Damyanov
- 2005: Participated in the "Stone Sculpture Symposium" at the International Summer Academy in Salzburg, Austria under Prof. Susanne Thun and Prof. Milos Klupach
Dr. Zlatanov's academic expertise spans multiple domains of visual arts and art education. His primary research interests include Art History, Fine Arts, and specialized areas of Sculpture. His teaching focuses on Drawing and Modeling techniques within architectural education. His educational background demonstrates a strong foundation in both theoretical aspects of art history and practical sculptural techniques, with particular emphasis on stone sculpture. Dr. Zlatanov teaches the discipline of Modeling within the Department of Drawing and Modeling at the Faculty of Architecture. He has been serving as Chief Assistant in the Department of Drawing and Modeling since 2017, following his doctoral achievement in 2016.
