Mitchel Lasser is the Jack G. Clarke Professor of Law at Cornell Law School, where he teaches comparative law, European Union law, and judicial process. He directs Graduate Studies and co-directs the Cornell Summer Institute of International and Comparative Law in Paris.
- Education: B.A. from Yale College (1986), J.D. from Harvard Law School (1989), M.A. in French Literature (1990), Ph.D. in Comparative Literature (1995) from Yale University.
- Academic Appointments: Previously Samuel D. Thurman Professor at University of Utah's S.J. Quinney College of Law, and Visiting Professor at University of Paris-I, University of Lausanne, University of Geneva, NYU School of Law, Sciences Po, and European University Institute.
His research focuses on judicial transparency, constitutional systems, and comparative legal institutions. He has written extensively on judicial legitimacy and transformations in European courts.
