Mitch Greco is Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Percussion and World Music at West Liberty University's College of Liberal and Creative Arts within the Department of Music & Theater. He directs the Percussion Ensemble, Marching Hilltoppers Drumline, Advanced and Beginner Steel Bands, and African Drum & Dance Ensemble while teaching applied percussion, world music, ethnomusicology, and music technology courses.

Dr. Greco's research centers on world music ensemble pedagogy and cognitive development of bimusicality (fluency in second musical languages), emphasizing respectful transmission of non-Western traditions. His classical percussion research focuses on solo and chamber literature for multiple percussion, bridging performance practice with ethnomusicological frameworks to create authentic cultural experiences for American students.
As creator/director of the West Liberty Creative Musical Arts Competition (CMAC) for regional high school students and co-chair of the university's Institutional Review Board, he actively shapes academic policy. His leadership extends to directing multiple ensembles and mentoring through applied lessons and professional development courses.
Dr. Greco maintains active ensemble direction across percussion and world music programs including specialized Steel Bands and African Drum & Dance, while serving as President of the Percussive Arts Society West Virginia Chapter and State Representative for the National Society of Steel Band Educators within the Society for Ethnomusicology.
