Dr. Mirna Jabbour is a Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Sheffield's Sheffield University Management School. She also serves as the Operations Director of the Centre for Research on Accounting and Finance in Context (CRAFiC) and the PRME Development Director. Her expertise spans management accounting, enterprise risk management (ERM), environmental accounting, and sustainable supply chain management.
Mirna’s research focuses on integrating socio-cognitive dimensions into ERM, examining carbon disclosure and legitimacy strategies, and analyzing the interplay between environmental performance and corporate governance. Her work has been published in internationally recognized journals and books.
Recent publications highlight her contributions to ERM frameworks, carbon assurance, and the mediating role of carbon legitimacy in corporate performance. She has supervised PhD students on topics including SDG adoption and costing systems, emphasizing student-centered research-led teaching.
