Miriam Roycroft

Miriam Roycroft is a Professor of Cello at the Royal Irish Academy of Music (Dublin) and Principal Cello of Camerata Ireland. She holds positions in orchestras such as the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and BBC orchestras. Her career spans solo performances, chamber collaborations, and leadership roles in major ensembles.

Research interests focus on cello performance, chamber music interpretation, and pedagogy. She has performed major concerti and premiered works like Nigel Morgan’s Four Commentaries. Her international engagements include masterclasses in China, Poland, Spain, and the USA.
