Miraj Ahmed is an Associate Lecturer at Camberwell College of Arts, specializing in Fine Art Drawing. His practice integrates architecture, painting, photography, and installation to explore spatiality, perception, and the interplay of light and dark. He investigates subversions of ordinary objects and spaces through his Heterotopia series, which interrogates notions of otherness in domestic and bodily contexts.
Architectural projects include collaborations like Host at Venice's Oratorio di San Ludovico, alongside exhibitions at Wimbledon Space and Fabbrica Europa (Florence). Ahmed also serves as a Design Fellow at the University of Cambridge while maintaining an active artistic career.
His research focuses on the intersection of architecture and fine art, emphasizing how familiar environments can be reinterpreted through artistic lenses.
