Minsun Lee, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Director of Training in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. Program at Seton Hall University’s College of Education and Human Services. She also serves as an Assistant Professor at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, teaching psychoanalytic theories and couples therapy to medical students.

Her research examines racial and cultural factors in psychotherapy, focusing on intersectional experiences of Asian Americans, bicultural identity, and decolonial therapeutic frameworks. Using critical, qualitative, and mixed methods, she explores how sociopolitical contexts shape mental health.
Recent work spans topics such as liberatory counseling pedagogy, relational conflict navigation, and protective factors for BIPOC students, emphasizing structural competency and healing through relational dynamics.

Lee is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and New York, with a part-time clinical practice serving AAPI and BIPOC clients.
