معرفی
Dr Minnie Ashdown is a Research Fellow at the Energy Institute under the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy & Resources at University College London (UCL). Her research focuses on data-driven approaches to understanding energy use and air exchange dynamics in buildings, particularly through statistical analysis of smart meter data and CO2 time series.
- Education: PhD (UCL, 2018), MRes in Energy Demand Studies (UCL, 2018), MSc in Climate Change Management (Birkbeck, 2014), BSc Hons in Astrophysics (University of Edinburgh, 2010)
Key research areas include:
- Statistical modeling of energy use and flexibility in domestic buildings
- Air flow dynamics and airtightness in naturally ventilated structures
- Validation of SAP and EPC predictions through empirical data
- Application of stochastic differential equations to building science
- Causal inference techniques for indoor air quality analysis
Her recent publications highlight interdisciplinary work in Building Science, combining Data Science and Mathematical Modeling to address climate action challenges. Professional activities include conference presentations (e.g., Building Simulation 2023) and peer reviewing for the International Journal of Building Pathology and Adaptation.
