Minjung Seo

Dr. Minjung Seo is an Associate Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Health Promotion and Wellness at SUNY Oswego. She also serves as the Health Science Minor Coordinator. Her academic background includes a dual Ph.D. in Health Promotion and Gerontology from Purdue University, an MA in Gerontology from San Francisco State University, an MS in Biomechanics from Sung Kyun Kwan University, and a BA in German Language and Literature.

Her research focuses on exercise behavior linked to personality traits, mental/physical health, self-determination, and self-efficacy in older adults, alongside senior exercise program implementation and attitudes toward aging. She teaches courses such as Wellness and Aging, Health Promotion Program Planning, and Health Behavior Change Process.

Dr. Seo holds the CHES certification from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.
