Ming-Zhi Zhang is a Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, affiliated with Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. His research bridges nephrology, endocrinology, and microbiology.
Research Interests: He investigates hormonal regulation of renal physiology, focusing on COX-2 and 11βHSD2 interactions in kidney pathophysiology. His work connects colorectal cancer with glucocorticoid metabolism, while pioneering immunohistochemistry techniques in kidney research via tissue microarrays.
