Ming Xia is a Professor of Political Science at the City University of New York (CUNY), holding dual appointments at the College of Staten Island and the CUNY Graduate Center. His expertise spans Chinese governance, political development, and comparative politics. He earned his Ph.D. from Temple University and has held visiting roles at institutions including the George Washington University, National University of Singapore, and Woodrow Wilson Center. His research critiques authoritarianism in China, focusing on political institutions, civil society, and human rights.
