Ming-Cheng Cheng

Ming-Cheng Cheng is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clarkson University, affiliated with the Coulter School of Engineering & Applied Sciences. His research focuses on physical modeling and simulation of nano-scale devices, electro-thermal issues in semiconductor devices, and electromagnetic simulations. He received his B.S. from National Chiao Tung University (Taiwan) and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University (Brooklyn, NY).

His recent work emphasizes physics-informed machine learning approaches for thermal and quantum simulations, with applications in multi-core CPUs, GPUs, and nanostructures. Key publications address thermal-aware scheduling, quantum element methods, and projection-based learning models.
