Dr. Minette Nago is a Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics (LSE), specializing in sustainability efforts in Africa. She has held teaching positions at the University of Göttingen and Montpellier, focusing on forest and climate diplomacy, while also contributing to the UNFCCC’s Global Stocktake of the Paris Agreement.

Her research centers on North-South cooperation in climate change governance, analyzing formal and informal dynamics, actors, and knowledge transfer mechanisms. She has extensively studied the Congo Basin, exploring systemic challenges in environmental policy and the role of aid agencies.
Recent publications highlight her work on regional environmental regimes, clean energy transitions, and policy implementation gaps. Her articles underscore the importance of contextualizing climate solutions and strengthening equitable collaboration between global North and South.
Nago co-founded the AFORPOLIS initiative in 2017 to enhance North-South knowledge exchange on climate change, organizing capacity-building workshops in Africa.
