Dr. Mindy Shoss is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Central Florida's College of Sciences. She directs the Work Stress in Context Lab (WSC Lab) and serves as PI/Director of the Sunshine Education & Research Center's Targeted Research Training Program. Her research examines occupational health psychology and the future of work, with focus areas including job insecurity, AI integration in workplaces, and worker well-being.
She has authored over 100 research publications and secured $3.7M in external funding from agencies including NSF, NIH, and Army Research Institute. Her editorial roles include Associate Editor for Journal of Occupational Health Psychology.

- Adaptation to organizational change

Publications show consistent focus on pandemic-related workplace challenges, AI impacts on careers, and job insecurity dynamics. Recent work increasingly addresses technology-workforce integration and occupational health policy.
Honors include fellowship status in SIOP and GLO, the Keita Award for Social Justice, and multiple UCF research/teaching awards. She advises U.S. Congress and Surgeon General on future of work policies.
