Franziska J. Kößler is a scientific collaborator at the Occupational Health Psychology unit within the Institute of Psychology at Humboldt University of Berlin, part of its Faculty of Life Sciences. She previously worked as a Junior researcher at Université de Fribourg (CH) and held Doctoral research fellow positions at both Humboldt University and the WZB Berlin Social Science Center.
- Education: PhD studies at Humboldt University (2017-2023), M.Sc. in Psychology from Ruprecht-Karls University of Heidelberg (2016), B.Sc. from Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck (2014)
Her research focuses on ethnic diversity and well-being, precarious work, social inequalities in health, and immigrant worker experiences. She contributed to major publications on workplace incivility, job insecurity, and diversity-related emotional strain. Her 2023 book Risking illness or losing your job? analyzed employment-health dilemmas during the pandemic.
Scientific awards include the 2020 Flexible Funding at WZB and a Doctoral scholarship from the Hans-Böckler Foundation (2017-2019). She belongs to the European Association for Work and Organizational Psychology and the German Society for Psychology (Section for Work, Organizational and Business Psychology).
