Mindy Nguyen

Mindy Nguyen serves as the Director of Clinical Education and Clinical Assistant Professor of Speech-Language Pathology at Lebanon Valley College, where she oversees the Center for Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders and co-advises the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) chapter.

Her academic credentials include:

• Bachelor of Science from Kutztown University
• Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Clarion University

Professor Nguyen specializes in childhood communication disorders with particular expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech, autism spectrum disorders, and evidence-based interventions for school-aged children. Her clinical focus emphasizes practical supervision techniques and developing accessible community-based services through university clinics.

Her recent research presented at the PSHA 2024 Convention examines how academic clinics bridge gaps in community speech-language pathology services through structured service learning partnerships between universities and local schools.

As an educator, she mentors students through NSSLHA and teaches core clinical courses including Diagnostic Procedures, Clinical Practicum, and School Caseload Management across undergraduate and graduate programs.

She directs Lebanon Valley College's Center for Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders, which functions as both a community service hub and immersive training environment for future speech-language pathologists.
