Melody Keegan

Melody Keegan serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Speech-Language Pathology Department at Lebanon Valley College, teaching SLP Clinic I, SLP Clinic II, and Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Disorders while coordinating external educational placements as SLP External Educational Placement Coordinator.

Her educational background includes:

• B.S. from Clarion University
• M.S. from Clarion University (now Penn West Clarion)

Dr. Keegan is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist certified by ASHA, holds New York State Public School Teacher certification for Speech and Hearing Handicapped, and is Hanen Method certified for Early Childhood Language Development. Her research focuses on pediatric communication disorders, clinical education models, and community-based service delivery for speech-language pathology.

Her 2024 convention presentation analyzed how academic clinics address community needs through service learning, reflecting her emphasis on practical training and interdisciplinary collaboration in speech pathology education.
