Mindia H Whittier is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication at The University of Texas at Arlington, holding the dual role of Specialist/Instructor since 2008. She specializes in strategic communication, public relations, and nonprofit management, with extensive industry experience including leadership roles at the Fort Worth Zoo and Medical Center of Arlington.

Research interests focus on integrating professional communication practices with academic instruction, emphasizing community engagement, crisis communication, and digital media strategies. Her teaching spans courses such as PUBLIC RELATIONS METHODS I & II, PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGEMENT, and internship supervision.
