Mina Kim serves as Music Lesson Instructor in Cello at College of the Holy Cross and Phillips Exeter Academy, actively contributing to Boston's musical landscape since 2010 through performance and education.
Her educational background includes:
- Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) from New England Conservatory of Music (2023) with minor in Musicology
Specializing in cello performance and pedagogy, Dr. Kim explores intersections between classical and folk traditions through ensembles like Rasa String Quartet and ROSIN. Her artistic focus emphasizes mentorship for emerging cellists and amplifying marginalized voices through projects like the Queer Ensemble Project, reflecting deep commitment to musical identity development and inclusive artistry.

- Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance (2024) as performer on Roomful of Teeth and A Far Cry's 'Stillpoint' album
As an educator, Dr. Kim teaches cello lessons while mentoring students' artistic development, inspired by her own mentors Yeesun Kim, Mike Block, and Terry King.
