Mina Kim is a Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Elementary Education (EED) at San Francisco State University. She specializes in Early Childhood Education, coordinating undergraduate ECE courses and co-coordinating the Early Childhood Education master’s program. Her expertise spans curriculum development, teacher action research, and multicultural education.
- Education: B.A. in Child Development & Education; M.S. in Early Childhood Education; Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction
Her research focuses on integrating play-based curricula across cultures, advancing math/science instruction in early childhood, and addressing multicultural perspectives in education. She actively reviews articles for journals related to educational action research and curriculum design.
She has served as co-chair of the Early Childhood Education Interest Group at the Action Research Network of the Americas (ARNA) and contributes to editorial boards for early childhood teacher education journals.
